Kap Slap is a beloved east coast EDM DJ/producer. When I say beloved I mean very beloved. After all, it takes a lot of fans to get 200,000 plays in one week. That's a big deal for any 24 year old independent musician, and just one of Kap Slap's (real name Jared Lucas) many accomplishments in his short career. He built his huge fan base on the back of excellent mash ups and remixes -- bringing the house down with his steady beats and EDM twists on Top 40. Now he's branching out into originals that are sure to make those fans happy. Kap Slap is trained in the finer arts of rock (guitar, drums, bass), and you can tell he has an ear for pop music by the way he weaves together his tracks. Kap Slap, like many college students, turned to the electronic dance music as a dorm-friendly outlet for creativity -- and his creativity has led him to making uplifting house tracks that are party worthy, whether you're getting bottle service in the club, or squished in the front row against the stage. Beer in hand, head bobbing, and feet moving is the only way to experience Kap Slap's magical creations. If you close your eyes, you can almost see him working away in Ableton in his dorm room, trying to perfect the sickest beats possible. Live, Kap Slap works the crowd while manning his laptop. The audience responds to his every movement: jumping in time as the producer frantically waves his arms, sprays the crowd with his drink, and risking the occasional stage dive.
