Seventies modernism inspires the interior's amber-hued quartz countertops and white oak surfaces; vintage Pioneer speakers add a smooth backdrop of stereophonic sound. Just outside our front door is Alta Park, a blanket of green that covers four city blocks. Climb its many terraced steps to the top, a coffee and pastry in hand, and view sailboats curlicuing on the Bay between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. When the Pacific fog rolls back in, our cafe will still be there. We think of it as a place to begin panoramic daydreams and the place to recount them - in warmth and with friends.
