Emmy Award-winning actress and comedian Judy Gold is best known as the star of her two critically acclaimed, long-running Off-Broadway hit shows. Judy’s most recent show, The Judy Show – My Life As A Sitcom ran to sold-out audiences at The Geffen Playhouse’s 2013 season and at The DR2 Theatre’s 2011-2012 season. The NY Times made it a critic’s pick and called it “Highly entertaining! Brash, Buoyant & Infectiously nostalgic“. The LA Times said Gold is “an enormously likeable performer” with “flawless comic timing”. The Huffington Post said the show is “Comedic Gold. A funny & fantastic ride! It’s the ultimate laughter-through-the tears tale.”

Judy was nominated for the 2012 Outer Critics Circle Award for The Judy Show, as well as a 2006 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance for her previous show, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother. In addition, that show won the 2007 GLAAD award for Outstanding New York Theater. The New York Times called this one-woman show “fiercely funny, honest and moving”. A book based on the show was nominated for the prestigious Quill Award.

Judy recently guest starred on ABC’S “Celebrity Wife Swap”, CBS’s “2 Broke Girls”, ABC Family’s “Melissa & Joey”, the series finale of Showtime’s “The Big C”, and can be seen in the upcoming film This is Where I Leave You. She also appeared on “Herlarious” on OWN. She has appeared on “30 Rock” and has co-hosted “The View” and “Anderson Live”. Judy also starred on “Rachel vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off” on TFN and competed on “Chopped All-Stars” (don’t ask). Judy hosts Nick’s comedy series “NickMom Night Out” and appears frequently on “The View” and “The Wendy Williams Show”.

Judy has been in the cast of Nora & Delia Ephron’s Off-Broadway play Love, Loss and What I Wore and co-starred in the hit Off-Broadway show Disaster! Gold can be seen regularly on “truTV Presents: World’s Dumbest”. Judy has recently appeared on TFN’s “The Next Food Network Star” and on TLC’s “The Next Great Baker”.

Judy is also the host of the Funny People series at the 92nd St. Y, and is a frequent contributor to The Moth. Judy has appeared on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”, “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, “The Conan O’Brien Show”, “Ugly Betty”, “Law & Order”, “Law & Order SVU”, “Hollywood Squares”, and starred in an episode of “The Glades” on A&E and “Are We There Yet?” on TBS. She was the host of HBO’s “At the Multiplex with Judy Gold” from 1999 – 2009, and also hosted Comedy Central’s “100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time” and the GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS, which aired on LOGO and VH1.

Gold’s stand-up specials include “Comedy Central Presents: Judy Gold”, Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd Stands Up”, and Judy’s own HBO half-hour special, for which she received The Cable Ace Award.
