“Thick Blues dripping over the edge of Rock” is what JPBlues has been described as. This Indie Blues band captures an old sound with a contemporary style. “I Will Not Go Quietly” CD was a very familiar name on the Roots Music Report Radio Charts hitting for a total of 28 weeks straight and at #4. The level heightened even more with the band’s follow up CD, “Make Room at the Table” released in Sept 2013. The CD charted on RMR, crossed over into the Jam Band Radio Charts as well as being considered part of the “Top 100 Blues CD’s of 2014” by RMR. Also appearing on “Make Room at the Table” are special guests Yonrico Scott and Todd Smallie (The Derek Trucks Band). In January 2015 JP released a live CD called, “Live at Darwin’s”. It has charted at #1 in the U.S. for Blues/Rock airplay. It is clear that JP Blues searing, soulful guitar gives hope to the rebirth of passion and soul in music!

JP started playing guitar at the age of 10 on Long Island, New York and it was clear that something special was happening here. This “Something Special” was recognized by legendary bluesman Sam “Bluzman” Taylor. Sam took JP under his wing and began to school him on the blues, or what Sam use to call “SAMerizing”. JP Toured the East coast with Sam’s band as a special guest for a few years. It was under Sam’s watchful eye that JP began to flourish as a musician and a bluesman!

JPBlues formed in 2008 with band members Pat Adkins (Chuck Berry, Gary US Bonds) on Drums and John Young (Ryan Leslie) on Bass. While playing the festival circuit, they also recorded the band’s first two CD’s, “Die Happy” and “I Will Not Go Quietly.”

In 2011, JP left the New York blues scene and moved to Georgia. It is here that he met his drummer Shiloh Bloodworth, and in 2013 they both were hired to back Australian blues artist Anni Piper (Blues Leaf Records) on her first US tour. Later with the addition of Tony Hossri on Bass, JPBlues had formed a new power trio and hit the road for an East Coast Tour as well as tearing up the Southern Circuit. This Georgia based project released two more CD’s “Make Room at the Table” and, “Live at Darwin’s”.

JP is endorsed by Epiphone and was voted by https://www.Truefire.com as one of their TOP 100 GUITARISTS “YOU SHOULD KNOW”! JP has had the pleasure of either performing with or opening for such legendary artists as Pete Sears (Jefferson Starship), Phil Grande (Joe Cocker), , Dennis Innessibuw (Robert Plant), , Derek Trucks, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band), Yonrico Scott (Derek Trucks), Todd Smallie (Derek Trucks), Albert Castiglia.
