The Dryansky Gallery is delighted to invite you to an artist talk and book signing on Saturday, June 13 at 4pm with artist Piyatat Hemmatat for his solo show, 3rd Eye Trilogy: The New Dawn.
Please join us for a one-time opportunity to be a part of this intimate and interactive talk and meet the artist who has flown in all the way from Bangkok, Thailand!
The first of a three-part series, 3rd Eye Trilogy: The New Dawn is inspired by the mystery and beauty dwelling within the lens—the “third eye” that Hemmatat uses to create his photographic universe.
In his talk, Hemmatat will explain how his series Verve came about and how it evolved into 3rd Eye Trilogy. So as to provide a glimpse into his creative process, the talk will include a slide show of the initial 3rd Eye B&W tests he created in 2007, as well as an eye-opening preview of Hemmatat's second installment to the series, 3rd Eye Trilogy: The Deep—with work still very much in progress.
A Q&A session will follow as well as a book signing for his publication 3rd Eye Trilogy: The New Dawn.
This beautiful hand-bound catalogue includes words by Thailand’s most revered writer and poet, Phanomtien, composed specifically for each photograph, bringing subtle meaning and a literary way of looking at Hemmatat’s series of work.
The catalogue will be available for purchase at the gallery.
