Being a classical guitar virtuoso can mean a lot of thing--many different countries have their own acoustic guitar classical traditions. Jason Vieaux, who hails from New York, and started studying the guitar at age eight, tries to incorporate as many different cultural approaches to the acoustic solo guitar as possible. On his recent album, Play, he reworks songs originating from France, Mexico, Spain, the United States, Cuba and more. He is a true technical wizard, who has been performing professionally for twenty years now.
