Magician Jamy Ian Swiss is a master sleight-of-hand artist. With a deck of cards and what the Washington Post has called “a finely tuned sense of the absurd,” Swiss has entertained audiences from Hollywood to Tokyo. In a profile of Swiss in The New Yorker, Adam Gopnik writes, “Swiss is thought to have one of the most masterly sleight-of-hand techniques in the world today.” Originally from Brooklyn, Swiss began performing magic at biker bars and has gone on to perform for presenters as varied as Fortune 500 companies and The Smithsonian Institution. Swiss was a featured performer on the PBS documentary The Art of Magic and co-authored the companion book of the same title. He is also the author of Shattering Illusions, a collection of essays. Swiss created, produced and performed in the documentary Cracking the Con Games, for the Discovery Channel. In the role of chief magic consultant, Swiss writes for the Penn & Tellers television program, “Sin City Spectacular.” He has been featured in The New Yorker, The Washington Post, and Vanity Fair.
Adam Savage is an industrial and special effects designer, actor, and the co-host of The Discovery Channel series “Mythbusters.” His acting resume includes early work as voices for Sesame Street characters created by his father. Savage has also taught advanced model making at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
