Featuring wood-paneled booths and a lacquered bar, this homey den serves up good beer and better pizzas for grizzled hockey fans and pizza parties alike. The brick oven cranks out specialty pies like the vampire-repelling Gilroy special and they also have everything from Bud Light to strong IPAs on tap. Their three-cheese blend fondue is creamy, yet sharp and gives a retro fancy feel while dipping sourdough and apples cubes. Norman Rockwell scenes of kids playing sports decorate the walls, and a “Wall of Fame” showcases the various local organizations Jake’s supports. Group parties get a 10 percent discount, which is enough quarters for youngins to play pinball or Big Game Hunter in a petite arcade.
