Kicking off its 21st season, 42nd Street Moon celebrates the Man of Steel’s 75th birthday with the daffy 1966 musical IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE, IT’S SUPERMAN. Metropolis is in danger, and it’s up to Superman to defeat Dr. Abner Sedgwick, a ten-time Nobel Prize-losing scientist who seeks to avenge the scientific world's dismissal of her brilliance. From the songwriters of Bye Bye Birdie, Annie, and Applause, comes an out-of-this-world score including You’ve Got Possibilities; It’s Super-Nice; You’ve Got What I Need, Baby; Ooh, Do You Love You; and Pow! Bam! Zonk!.
