With much of the city still in a state of shock and awe, we present three great local rock bands to soothe your soul and provide a chuckle. Come out and move and yowl!
The Insufferables
The Insufferables is San Francisco's original jangle post-punk band, since 2009. Described as a mashup of the B52s & Pixies meet the Doors, they present jangle and crunch guitars, and unusually articulate vocals in the idiom of Lux Interior.
Currently lobbying to back up Alec Baldwin on "Highway to Hell" at the Inauguration (it's a long shot, we know), the band may be making a triumphant return to the Bay Area. They hope to play "Fox News", "Happy Now ('til the pills wear off)", "Beautiful, Wild & Free", "45 Graves", and an ode to the "FBI" for the POETUS. Hear some of those tunes on iTunes and Spotify or check out these links:

The Krypters
Five musicians got together...at some point, with a Garage-Punk Rock sound in mind and that was it, The Krypters were born! Alleluia! Visit this site for graveyard songs and spooky videos:

Joypress
Joypress is a three-piece garage rock band with influences stemming from both Americana and post-punk sounds. Composed of Michael Nazari (vocals/guitar), Zac Olsen (bass), and Chayse Goda (drums). Although the three grew up together in California’s Central Valley, the band is now based in San Francisco. They shared a passion for music growing up, and are very excited to still be creating something together and spending time with each other. You may pickup this excitement and joy watching Joypress perform.
