Legendary bassist and Irakere co-founder Carlos Del Puerto is one of the most important figures in post-modern Cuban music. In this two-hour master class specially geared for rhythm section players, he will lead an in-depth exploration of Cuban rhythm and perform a variety of live demonstrations. Joining him are pianist Rebeca Mauleón and Cuban percussionists Jesús Diaz and Carlos Caro.
Must be an intermediate to advanced-level bassist, pianist or percussionist.
Some instruments provided, but bassists must bring their own bass.
