California Bookstore Day Expands to Independent Bookstore Day! In 2015 California Bookstore Day is expanding to include independent bookstores all over the country! Join us on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at your neighborhood Books Inc. for special author guests, exclusive book and art pieces, and more!
From 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Books Inc. in Palo Alto very excitedly presents Storytime with the Stanford Tree! A variety of picture books will be read by Stanford Band's mascot and the whole family is invited to join in on the fun.
Throughout the Day Books Inc. in Palo Alto snacks and drinks (with cocktails featured in Tim Federle's books Tequila Mockingbird and Hickory Daiquiri Dock) will be offered, and raffle giveaways (including free books) will be announced. Local authors will also be stopping by to recommend their favorite reads and will read from and autograph copies of their own titles! Joining the party beginning at 12:30 will be Meg Waite Clayton, followed by Sheralee Iglehart (with puppets!) at 1:00 PM, followed by Terri Farley at 2:00 PM, Stuart Rojstaczer at 4:00 PM, and Annemarie O'Brien at 4:30 PM. Tracy Guzeman, Heather Haven, and Ann Jacobus will also be stopping by, check back for updated times.
