iMentor Bay Area- Mentor Orientation

About iMentor
iMentor builds rigorous, high-impact mentoring relationships that ensure more students from low-income communities succeed in college. By partnering with public high schools and matching every student in the school with a mentor, iMentor leverages the community to reimagine the counseling function in schools.
Since its founding in 1999 in NYC, iMentor has served more than 15,000 students, created transformative mentoring relationships, demonstrated strong outcomes, and drawn accolades from some of the nation’s most prominent leaders. iMentor will serve over 20,000 new students over the next five years.
This fall, iMentor will launch in the Bay Area with schools in Oakland and in the South Bay. In its first year of operation, iMentor Bay Area will serve approximately 500 students, matching them with college-educated mentors from local corporations and community organizations and helping them to complete high school, succeed in college and achieve their ambitions.
Interested in becoming a mentor?
You can begin your mentor application today by signing up at bayarea.imentor.org. You can also join us for an upcoming mentor orientation to meet with iMentor staff and learn more about the program. At mentor orientation you will also receive proper training and begin the background check process.
