Italy's IMAF Chef’s Cup arrives in the Bay Area with a fantastic culinary event showcasing food and the arts. The first Michelin-starred cooking show dedicated to putting art on a plate, brings two of Italy’s most acclaimed chefs to the Bay Area on September 9, 10 and 11 for a final showdown to name the international winner.
Il Fornaio Restaurant in San Francisco will serve as the beautiful backdrop for all three cooking shows starting at 6:30 pm. On Tuesday, September 10, Stefano Cerveni from Brescia will present his menu based on the tastes of Franciacorta and his beloved restaurant, “Two Doves”. He will demonstrate his Risotto allo Spumeggio recipe, made with Grana Padano cheese – a specialty of his home region. His Zuppa di pan cotto con bocconcini di quaglia croccante, foie gras e tartufo (Soup and croutons with crunchy pieces of quail, fois gras and truffles) was inspired by Babette’s Feast. Reservations can be made directly with Il Fornaio by calling (415) 986-0100.
