APRIL 18 HAÇETERIA ☻ JACKTONE RECORDS COMPILATION RELEASE w/ Bézier (LIVE) — Worker/Parasite (LIVE) — Doc Sleep (DJ Set) — Jess Labrador (DJ Set) — BRUSE (DJ Set)
In April, Haçeteria takes over F8 in SOMA for a deep late night jam celebrating the release of the Bay Area's own Jacktone Records inaugural compilation! The lineup is impossibly stacked with Bay Area heads and freaks— check it out:
Bézier is the moniker of all-live-analog electronic wizard Robert Yang from San Francisco. Enchanted by the Cybernetic Broadcasting System (CBS), Robert started DJing as Robot Hustle, joining the Honey Soundsystem collective in 2007. Robert writes hooks, patterns and melodies in an automatic, stream of consciousness fashion. Memory and nostalgia play a big part in constructing his music.https://soundcloud.com/bezier/mysteries-of-the-deep
Ben Versluis began his love of music as a hardcore kid living in the midwest. After moving to California to go to school, Ben became exposed to electronic music and began DJing the bay area with a focus in Techno. After finishing school with a degree in audio engineering, Ben began producing under the moniker, Worker/Parasite. Since 2010 he has been creating and performing music in Oakland, CA.https://soundcloud.com/worker-parasite/arid-jacktone-records-comp-out
Dr. Sleep has been DJing and making music since 2003 in Minneapolis and San Francisco, holding residencies at Public Works, 222 Hyde, Underground SF and the Deco Lounge. Her guest appearances have graced the gamut of current underground San Francisco party institutions, from As You Like It to Go Bang!, Viennetta Discotheque to Bearracuda. She currently runs Jacktone Records, broadcasts on Intergalactic FM's Radio Free Robotron every Sunday at 9 am PST, and is hard at work on her own productions.https://soundcloud.com/dr-sleep/brasstax
Jess Labrador is the primary architect of Chasms, whose cold, passionate, melodic dispatches are a cornerstone of the current Bay Area music scene. As a DJ, Jess mixes her distinct musical vision with her long time love affair with the darker side of acid and techno. Listen to her polyrhythmic, vibed out remix of Chasms' "NVS" which is featured on the Jacktone compilation. https://soundcloud.com/ooochasmsooo/n-v-s-j-labrador-remix
Haceteria Resident DJs Josh Widmann and Nihar Bhatt have been producing tracks and performing live hardware sets under the moniker Bruse for the past couple of years. Inspired by a cross section of 90s rave, electro-industrial, and modern techno, Bruse will do a rare B2B vinyl set. https://soundcloud.com/bruse/bruse-conversion-mix-5-23-13

Club Haçeteria was founded with a desire to bring to light dusty records that have for too long been denizens of the dollar bin along with cuts that have been perched upon a pedestal too far out of reach. Haçeteria also tasks itself with the aim to bring outsider tracks from today to a spotlight pointed on the dancefloor. What started as a nod to mid and late 1980s electronic dance music evolved to a hazy laser guided celebration of acid, rave, and more modern incarnations deeply vested in their analog origins. Situated in a rich and vibrant area, Haçeteria curates locally sourced talent to perform live analog hardware sets.
