Well, it's definitely the line-up that we've put together
for this special collaboration between Honey Soundsystem and ICEE HOT.
DANCE MANIA
In the main room at Public Works, we're going to have THREE "teachers" from Dance Mania Records, the seminal Chicago house record label that was responsible for too much essential house music to document here. An essential new reissue compilation, Hardcore Traxx: Dance Mania Records 1986-1997, was just released, and these three emissaries are coming out to San Francisco, not only to support the record, but to demonstrate just how potent the sounds of Dance Mania can be.
MISTER SATURDAY NIGHT
Up in the loft, we'll have a special DJ set from Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter, the residents and founders of Mister Saturday Night. These guys are responsible for some of NYC's best parties, their DJ skills are top-notch, and their still-young record label has already been responsible for a steady stream of quality tunes.
Of course, a full slate of residents from both HONEY SOUNDSYSTEM and ICEE HOT will be on hand to play some tunes.
