Description

ONLY FIVE DOLLARS BEFORE 10:30PM,
STILL ONLY $10 AFTER. (YES, THIS IS CRAZY CHEAP.)

Once again, it's time to come join the ICEE HOT crew as we do what we do best (not to brag or anything): welcome some of the world's most-forward thinking DJs to San Francisco for the very first time. Yup, we're doing it again!

First up is Berlin-based Welshman DOC DANEEKA. For some strange reason, we haven't booked him before, despite the fact that his signature rolling basslines and snare patterns have been moving ICEE HOT dancefloors since day one. His releases and remixes on labels such as Ramp, PTN, No Hats No Hoods, 50 Weapons, Blunted Robots, as well as his own Ten Thousand Yen imprint, fit perfectly into that space between house, garage, grime, and UK funky (remember UK funky?!?!). His critically acclaimed new album, "They! Live," produced in collaboration with Benjamin Damage, represents a shift towards deep, dark, party techno (no doubt a reflection of his newly adopted city and the patronage of none other than techno-bass superstars Modeselektor) while still retaining a modern UK bass edge. Add to all this a stint at last year's Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid, and you've got the makings of a man on the move. We can't wait to see where he takes us.

Also making his SF debut is New Jersey-based DJ SLIINK. You know ICEE HOT's got love for NJ (see: MikeQ, Todd Edwards), and this up-and-coming producer reps to the fullest. One of the most visible and innovative DJs at the forefront of the 'Jersey Club' scene, you can look forward to hearing much more about this guy in the coming year. He is quickly gaining international recognition through his work with Mad Decent, Fade To Mind, Brick Bandits, Pelican Fly, Body High, and his own Cartel Music. Expect ruffneck club riddims, handclaps, gunshots, booty bouncing, insanity-inducing synths, and overall buck-wild behavior to go down during his set.

And of course, ICEE HOT residents Ghosts on Tape, Shawn Reynaldo, and Rollie Fingers will be there to lather up the dance real nice before the main event(s).

p.s. We will have high-quality ICEE HOT t-shirts available for sale at this event!
