Sunday, August 23rd 2015 – I/O Modular Synth Meet [San Francisco] Presented by Public Works & Music Expo SF.
I/O Music Technology, Oakland based Modular Synthesizer shop from Co-founder of Switched On is hosting a Modular Synth Meet Sunday, August 23rdfrom 2-7pm, made possible in part by Public Works and Music Expo SF.
What is a Synth Meet you might ask? I/O Synth Meets are community events focused on Modular Synthesizers, the Manufacturers who make them, and the Musicians / Producers who use them. These events are a great opportunity to meetlike-minded people, to try out gear before you buy, and to get acquainted with some of the minds behind the these unique instruments.
West Coast Synth manufacturers Toppobrillo, West Oakland Music Systems, Nexus Instruments, Dark Modular Cases, and MST [Mattson/Synthrotek] will be in attendance to demo their wares alongside a few other locals including our friends at the Vintage Synthesizer Museum. I/O’s pop-up shop will also be open for business with inventory on-hand. Come out and enjoy an afternoon of tinkering, patching, and get more familiar with the world of ModularSynthesizers at Public Works.
