This San Jose/Santa Cruz six-piece has been truckin' along for a good few years now and their latest LP Home to Haunt You finds their rumbling country twang all gussied up with no less heart. Angi Lemucchi can sing like her heart is breaking in half and the listener is right there along with her, while the rest of the band chugs along like it's the most natural thing in the world. They play honest roots tunes, influenced as much by Fleetwood Mac as by Patsy Cline. This is the CD release party for the band, but it's available already on iTunes. (Stephen Layton)
