The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence®, a leading edge Order of queer nuns, present their annual Easter in the Park on Sunday, April 5th at Golden Gate Park’s Hellman Hollow, formerly known as Speedway Meadow. The 36th anniversary celebration kicks off with Children’s Easter from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by the main event from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm.

The merriment has been held at Dolores Park in the past, but it is currently being renovated. The move to Hellman Hollow is appropriate in that we support and represent all of San Francisco. This could well be the party of the year with attendees encouraged to create their own County Fair themed costumes. The day will feature some of the old and some things new. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt and other fun activities for the kids. In the afternoon, we will have our Easter Bonnet, Foxy Mary, and Hunky Jesus Contests. The main event will be ASL interpreted.
