Join University of the Pacific’s Food Studies for the “History of Wine” on Saturday, May 2 at 5 p.m. Professor Ken Albala will discuss the origins of wine, some of the rituals and celebrations associated with it, and the psychology and business of wine in the modern wine industry. In addition, he will talk about the new Master of Arts or Certificate in Food Studies—a program that will focus on the ways in which people have grown, prepared and profited from food through history and across cultures. It is free and open to the public.
