Hirsch Vineyards Winemaker Dinner at The Barrel Room SF

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Enjoy a five course menu paired with a selection of some of our favorites from Hirsch, and meet General Manager Jasmine Hirsch.

Hirsch Vineyards makes some of California’s best Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, with old world respect for terroir and patience their guiding light. David Hirsch founded his winery in 1978 and never looked back, becoming a pioneer of pinot viticulture and winemaking in California.

The winery employs a couple dozens of small open top tanks that match the size of the individual vineyards, so fruit from one field is not mixed with that from another. There is no pumping of fruit or wine during fermentation, and after the wine is placed in French oak barrels. No blending or racking is done until bottling. They do not filter or manipulate the wine. Each step moves according to its own timetable. This makes for distinguished fresh wines with acidic complexity and just the right balance of tannins and fruit.

$125 per person for the pairing menu, $40 for the wines alone. Please email us at [email protected] for more information or to reserve a seat! Reservations also available through OpenTable. You may begin your dinner at anytime from 5-8:30 to participate.
