HiLLBiLLY ROBOT returns for round two! The festival, we mean event, runs every weekend in February and features a variety of urban-flavored Americana; from classic country to alt-country to traditional bluegrass to outlaw bluegrass to raw-n-roll blues to indie-pop with hints of twang. This year's event welcomes the return of "Portland Invasion" (yeah!) and new show "Songs of '69: a Tribute to an Amazing Year in Music", plus popular festival mainstays; "Honky-Tonk Showdown", "Bluegrass Bonanza", "Americana Jukebox", and a CD release show! No matter what your listening pallet may be (city or country) we've got a little something for everyone. So break out your bestest overalls, spit-shine your boots, and head on down to Hillbilly Robot for some good old-fashioned downhome music.
Direct from the streets of Portlandia, comes "Portland Invasion". Originally created for the now defunct SF Bluegrass & Old-Time Festival, "Portland Invasion" returns with a vengeance and features our most eclectic and electric Americana music show yet. Over the last 10 years "Portland Invasion" has become a must see event and now with the invention of electricity- this powerhouse of a show is even more of a not to be missed event during Hillbilly Robot.
