Join us in a night of old-school bluegrass, featuring Portland's finest, Left Coast Country and one of San Francisco's best, The Town Howlers.
HiLLBiLLY ROBOT: an Urban Americana Music Event returns for round three. The festival, we mean event, runs every weekend in February and features a variety of urban-flavored Americana; including classic country, outlaw country, vintage bluegrass, 50s rockabilly, western-swing, New Orleans jazz, and wild Americana. This year's event welcomes bands as far away as Brooklyn, New York and Portland, Oregon, with lots of local favorites in the mix, including Belle Monroe & her Brewglass Boys 20 year anniversary show and JonEmery & The Dry County Drinkers CD release party. No matter what your listening pallet may be (city or country) we've got a little something for everyone. So break out your bestest overalls, spit-shine your boots, and head on down to Hillbilly Robot for some good old-fashioned downhome music.

LEFT COAST COUNTRY (Portland, OR)
Dedication to their craft has made Left Coast Country one of the hardest working, up-and-coming acts in the Northwest. Formed in 2010 from the exploding newgrass scene in Portland, OR.
Their debut, Dark Down and Blue features the group’s high-energy, hard-driving originals and their contemporary take on the old bluegrass sound. Their second, self-produced and self-titled album propelled their versatile, dynamic sound onto the never-ending tour circuit of North America.
In July 2014, Left Coast Country took home first place in the 13th Annual Northwest String Summit Band Competition, being the first ever Portland bluegrass band to do so.

San Francisco's very own supergroup, The Town Howlers feature members and exmembers of several prominent Bay Area bluegrass bads, including The Earl Brothers, The Bearcat Stringband, One Grass Two Grass, Old Belle, and Clementine StringBand.
