She earned a BA in Community Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz, with a focus on Indigenous Medicine. She became a certified western herbalist through Ohlone Herbal Center in 2007. Currently she has her hands full with a natural skin care company called Earth Tu Face where she leads product development, outreach and implements strategic brand growth.
