At Heart of San Francisco Aikido, Aikido is often practiced as a spiritual discipline and as a movement art. Aikido is a very modern art, and in contrast to its predecessors, its forms are not set. New forms develop naturally out of practice of older ones. In this way, Aikido can be an art medium used for creating new movement forms.
