New Holiday Adventures

Somehow you got-out of traveling for the holidays and you’re staying in the city Christmas Week. Lucky you! While many music venues quiet down for the Christmas holiday, it’s a great week to get out and find new, out-of-the-ordinary adventures. Here’s a quick list of some fun local happenings.

December 22nd: Polk Street Lounge @ Hemlock Tavern
Have a good laugh with a lineup of local comics and some burlesque eye candy in between.

December 22nd: Parker’s Christmas Craptacular @ The Make-Out Room
A diverse roster of local music talent gathers for this annual event. What makes-it
“craptacular”? You’ll have find out for yourself.

December 23rd: Two Gallants @ The Knockout
Support your local bands. SF indie-folk outfit Two Gallants will an intimate set in the Outer District.

December 23rd: Popscene Holiday Party with the Tenderloins
Tie one on with DJs Aaron, Nako, and Omar, and a set by the Tenderloins. There are no advance tickets, so don’t lag behind for this one.

December 23rd to 26th: Kung Pao Kosher Comedy @ New Asia Restaurant
Chow down at the New Asia Restaurant have a few laughs with kosher and not-so kosher entertainment.

December 24th -26th: Glide Memorial Church
Help serve Breakfast, lunch, and holiday meals, and don’t forget about the eclectic and rocking gospel choir on Sunday mornings.

December 25th: Presidio Bowl
Tired of watching the Christmas Story Marathon? Grab the family or friends
and get your bowl on at this old-school bowling alley, open noon to midnight on Christmas Day.

December 26th: A Merry Forking Christmas @ 965 Mission Theaters
This holiday production follows some unlikely Christmas characters (a pot-smoking Santa) through some unlikely scenarios, in which the audience decides the ending.

December 27th: All Night Krazy Karoke Pizza Party @ The Knockout
