SWEETWATER STRINGBAND (Mammoth Lakes, CA)
This high energy, cello-driven bluegrass band formed in 2008 in the small mountain town of Mammoth Lakes. Their original music is inspired by the wild deserts and high mountains of the western landscape they call home.
Their latest album "River of Rhymes," has been garnering critical acclaim, remarking on their "distinctive high-energy brand of bluegrass with a cello in overdrive" and their "work of both intimacy and wide-scale, cinematic vistas."

THE MOUNTAIN MEN (Mariposa)
This all-star supergroup are one of the hottest bluegrass new bands on the California music scene ...and features some of the finest pickers in these parts, including: Andy Roberts (the Trespassers) on banjo, David Barrow and Kyle Morrison on guitar, Jared Jesperson on mandolin, Fritz Bagget on fiddle, Erik Anderson on dobro, and Alec Laroche on bass.

THE BEAUTY OPERATORS (SF)
Born out of San Francisco bluegrass jam scene this fresh, up and coming stringband are taking the local bluegrass music scene by storm. On the streets and in the clubs of San Francisco, they're known for their high-energy live performances mixing traditional bluegrass, modern originals, and irreverent transformations of pop songs.
