Handmade/Mindmade is a collective show of new furniture and other works from the renown College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking Program. Over thirty original pieces will be on display at Zinc Details in San Francisco, for purchase or by commission. This is the only showing outside of Mendocino County, where the school is located, and a unique opportunity to see the year's work gathered in once place.
Every year since its founding by James Krenov in 1981, the College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking Program has graduated a small, tight-knit class of woodworkers engaged in the highest level of craftsmanship.
At once a diverse and self-selecting group, CR's students are drawn to the secluded North Coast by a shared passion for wood and a singular quest for meaning through honest work. For nine months, twenty-three women and men share a bench room eight hours a day, six days a week, perfecting their slow craft in this age of fast technology.
We are pleased to bring our work to San Francisco in partnership with Zinc Details, an independently-owned showroom, gallery, modern design authority and essential resource for the San Francisco creative community since 1991.
