GTA is a Miami based production duo consisting of Matthew Van Toth (Van Toth) and Julio Mejia (JWLS). Their productions are classified as House music, influenced by other genres like Hip Hop, Salsa, and more. They have received acclaim by some of the heavy hitters on the Electronic scene today such as Afrojack, Diplo, and Laidback Luke.
Van Toth and JWLS met through their shared passion of music through Soundcloud and Facebook. Van Toth’s individual sound was very Techy-House, while JWLS’ sound was strongly influenced by Hip Hop blending their musical diversity to create “GTA”. “It’s Time” is the debut track released by the new production powerhouse which is set to be released on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings.
TJR
TJR (real name TJ Rozdilsky) has built a formidable catalogue of original tracks and remixes since exploding on the scene in 2008. He’s the consummate DJ’s DJ and its clear that the mixing skills he’s honed over his career have never been more relevant; spinning, rolling and scratching live, TJR is a sight to behold behind the decks, especially in an era of pre-programmed playlists. Known for his three Beatport overall #1’s with ‘Funky Vodka,’ ‘What’s Up Suckaz,’ and ‘Bounce Generation,’ his monstrous hit ‘Ode to Oi’ and the certified Platinum smash, ‘Don’t Stop The Party’ with Pitbull; TJR has become the master of the dancefloor anthem. Moving to LA from Connecticut as a last ditch effort to avoid the corporate grind, he honed his skills behind the decks by constantly working at his craft. The hard work paid off and he found success in LA and San Diego, and from there the best parties and dancefloors of the world beckoned.
