Gregory Douglass Band w/ Eric Himan & Jeff Campbell

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Gregory Douglass and his band will perform his new, unreleased album "My Hero, The Enemy" in its entirety. Award winning artists Eric Himan and Jeff Campbell will be joining Gregory at this show.

Gregory Douglass

Gregory Douglass' evocative, alternative sound blends "Rufus Wainwright´s opulent musicality and Justin Timberlake´s accessible soulfulness," according to OUT Magazine. A Vermont native and Los Angeles transplant, Douglass has been coined "One of New England's best-kept secrets," by NPR’s Morning Edition and has shared the stage with the likes of Jason Mraz, Regina Spektor, They Might Be Giants, Shawn Colvin, and The Weepies to name a few.

An internationally renowned musician with eight critically acclaimed albums under his belt, Douglass has paved his own way to his successful independent career and is, according to Pandora's founder Tim Westergren, one of the top independent artists on Pandora radio today. Douglass has sold 100,000+ songs digitally on his own, his videos have amounted to nearly 1 million views on YouTube alone, and his music videos have charted numerous times on MTV Network's LOGO TV. Douglass’ work ethic becomes apparent based on these factors alone, not to mention in the passion and finesse he puts into all his recorded works.

In addition to his on-stage collaborations, Douglass has recorded with fellow Vermonters Grace Potter (Hollywood Records) and Anaïs Mitchell (Righteous Babe Records) among others. His upcoming record My Hero, The Enemy is his most prolific work to date with writing born after the emotional collapse of 15 years as a touring artist. Realizing that what he once called a “fierce independence,” Douglass recognized as isolating and self-limiting choices. Amid this epiphany, Douglass found a glimmer of hope in new collaborations and some of his best writing yet to propel his music yet another step further in the world.

“This new album is the most deeply personal account of my years in music so far,” says Douglass. “It’s also an ode to being a creative person in the age of information, and what a blessing and a curse it can be. At the same time, I would argue that every song on My Hero, The Enemy explores the dichotomy of such emotional struggles, and attempts to expose the underlying truth behind many of life's misconceptions.”

While My Hero, The Enemy showcases the emotional turmoil of creativity, it also keeps Douglass’ relentless hope and happiness in his life alive.

Eric Himan

Eric Himan is an award-winning, nationally touring artist (tours opening for the likes of Ani DiFranco, Leon Russell, Edwin McCain, Patty Griffin, etc.) is based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Eric's brand of soulful rock has landed his music on Sirius XM's Coffee House station, on Hollister Stores in-store playlist nationwide, the Huffington Post, Advocate Magazine, and an endorsement deal from Fender Guitars. He has won Absolute Best of Tulsa’s Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and the Singer-Songwriter Awards in London, England. With 8 albums of original material under his belt, Eric has released his latest EP, PLAYING CARDS, produced by Zac Maloy (The Nixons, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, etc.), which can be found and purchased on iTunes, Amazon, and at his official website, http://www.erichiman.com

Jeff Campbell

Jeff Campbell’s onstage experiences have taken him to coast to coast countless times and found him sharing stages with John Mayer, members of Counting Crows, The Grateful Dead, and opening for Train. After being crowned winner of Guitar Center's National Singer Songwriter Competition out of over 13,000 entrants, his 2013 EP Release, “In Spite of Everything”, produced by 6x Grammy Winner John Shanks, premiered at #1 on the iTunes rock EPs and singles charts, following a performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show.

Watch him strap an acoustic guitar on his back, board a public bus with 75 strangers, and traipse his way across the country. Here’s a singer-songwriter who loves nothing more than the sound of his voice reverberating off a music venue’s back walls. Yes, this is Jeff Campbell’s life, and as he’ll readily tell you, it isn’t so much a choice as it’s his calling. “This is just who I am” says the vocalist, impassioned songwriter and lifelong musician who with The Kitchen Sink, has at long last concocted the album that represents him at his core and is willing to do whatever it takes to feel the rush of human connection.
