The Great Pacific Race is the first human powered race across the Pacific Ocean and is the world's toughest endurance event. Starting in Monterey, 20 crews from around the world race the 2,400 miles across the Pacific Ocean to Honolulu, Hawaii. The boats don't have any sails or engines instead relying on the muscle of their crew to row them to Hawaii. The boats and crews will arrive in Monterey on May 23rd for pre-start preparations and the race start will be on June 7th.
