In an old Hills Brothers Coffee building on the Embarcadero. Great views, particuarly of the Golden Gate Bridge and especially at night. Excellent food and ture-to-style German beers.

Don't be scared away by the fact that it's a (yes, another) brewery restaurant - the food is actually good. The Cal-Asian fusion menu is updated and rotated by some very creative chefs: Wasabi mashed potatos, seared Ahi Tuna, and Emu. 

Oh yeah, the beer's pretty good, too. Plus, there are great views of the waterfront and Bay Bridge. 

Downside: It can turn into a meat market after work or on the weekends. So in some ways, it's best to stop by a little early on a week day.
