Opportunity for individuals, families and groups who are interested to learn more about volunteer travel with purpose that...emphasizes connection with people over “place”, partners with indigenous communities around the world, and supports projects created and led by the host community.

Speakers will present their recent experiences with indigenous communities in Peru, Kenya and White Earth Ojibwe reservation in Minnesota.

Hosted by Xperitas (formerly known as Global Citizens Network), a non-profit organization with aim to create a network of people to enhance quality of life and preserve indigenous cultures, traditions and ecologies as well as working towards promoting peace, justice and respect through cultural understanding and global cooperation. The primary purpose of travel is to make connections between people. At the same time, volunteer teams work on projects initiated by people in the local community, for the benefit of the community. Projects and shared work include construction and infrastructure improvement, teaching, planting and beautification, and cultural preservation, and are available in countries around the world.
