The power of love will come to life at GLIDE’s Annual Holiday Jam: LOVE Matters, on Thursday, December 3rd at the Warfield Theatre. The spirited evening of spoken word, storytelling and live music will feature inspiring performances with R&B legend Valerie Simpson, Tony Award nominee Justin Vivian Bond, Youth Speaks poetry performance, GLIDE Ensemble & Change Band and many others joining community legends and GLIDE Co-Founders, Reverend Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani. Benefiting GLIDE, San Francisco’s premier provider of human services, the event will be emceed by Bay Area radio host and San Francisco Giants announcer Renel Brooks-Moon. The evening’s Honorary Co-Chairs includes Richard C. Blum and Senator Dianne Feinstein, Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr., Angela Y. Davis, Ambassador James C. Hormel and Michael P. Nguyen and Congresswoman Barbara Lee.
