While operating ostensibly as a benefit for a documentary about the Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls, this all-day concert has morphed into an amazing, all-ages girl-empowerment festival that will be the first of many. With eight girl or woman-centered bands whose members range in age from 12-years-old to adult and styles from punk to folk-rock, the afternoon and evening of March 26 at Bottom of the Hill will be a time to remember. Organizations like Women's Audio Mission, 826 Valencia and Girls Rock! Productions, as well as the band members themselves, will also run interactive "stations" (including the stage itself!) throughout the day where girls can try out instruments, make noise and ask questions about the rock life.
