Ghetto Klown

SEE EVENT DETAILS
John Leguizamo’s one man show and Broadway smash Ghetto Klown, will be live at the SHN Orpheum Theatre for two performances only April 26 and 27.

“Ghetto Klown” is the next chapter in John Leguizamo’s popular personal and professional story. It follows in the unabashed, uncensored, and uninhibited tradition of his Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, and Sexaholix…a Love Story.
Leguizamo is one of the nation’s most accomplished stage performers and has also appeared in more than 50 films including, Carlito’s Way, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge and as a drag queen called Chi Chi in To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.

In his trademark style, Leguizamo’s Ghetto Klown explodes with energy, heating up the stage and taking audiences from his adolescent memories in Queens to the early days of his acting career during the outrageous 80s avant-garde theatre scene, and on to the sets of major motion pictures and his roles opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

The New York Times says that Leguizamo on stage is “irresistible. He has the energy of a 12-year old who has just downed a Red Bull and a jumbo package of Twinkies.”
