In an interview with webzine Razorcake, SoCal punk en espanol band Generacion Suicida said that punk was basically aggressive pop. While this statement doesn't ring true for every band that wears the punk label, it is a spot-on description of Generacion Suicida. Their songs are short, sweet, fast and clearly influenced by The Ramones. The four-piece, who are from South Central L.A., blast out truly catchy tunes, with sing-along, multi-voiced choruses. They’re raw, energetic, emotive, fun, but still saying something important, even if you don’t speak Spanish.
