The Gay Buddhist Sangha meets Sundays from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Hartford Street Zen Center, 57 Hartford Street in the Castro. The "Sangha" in our name means "community." We are a group of LGBT folks who try to support each other in our various spiritual practices as we explore together the Buddha's teachings. All are invited, including the Buddhist-curious. Look for our booth at the Castro Street Fair on the first Sundays in October, which is usually located on 18th Street between Castro and Hartford Streets.
The afternoon starts with a meditation period. Brief instruction is offered for anyone who has not had meditation experience. A discussion with a guest speaker follows. You are invited to share tea, cookies and conversation from 4:30 to 5. We look forward to seeing you!
