Award-winning choreographers Janice Garrett and Charles Moulton return to the JCCSF atrium with four free presentations of excerpts from Speak, Angels, a piece that won raves at its world premiere in July. The performance features 24 dancers, including a trademark “movement choir,” whose fluidity and speed, says dance critic Allen Ullrich, create the tension that makes the performance soar. According to the choreographers, Speak, Angels “investigates the sudden, unforeseen moments of illumination that provide essential guidance and support at key moments of our lives. It celebrates our innate capacity to access reservoirs of spiritual strength when faced with hardship and suffering.”
