THE DREW SOUTHERN BAND… The Drew Southern Band is a San Francisco born blues rock/ jam band. Take the blues greats of BB King, Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, mash them together with some Hendrix, Santana, Allman Brothers and Derek Trucks Band and you get an idea for what The Drew Southern Band is all about. The rhythm section is rock tight SF brothers Blake Ritterman and Andrew Couttie on drums and bass. Also in the band we have Pat Shields on percussion, Ry Kihn on guitar, Evan Carlyle Reese on Hammond B3 and Drew Southern on guitar and vocals. The band often has featured singers and guests sit in as well. Drew Southern is a growing light on guitar in the SF music scene and has played with Rustee Allen (Sly and the Family Stone), Billy Johnson (Santana) and is the lead guitar player/ founder of the explosive SF band THE STANG BAND.
