Sites Unseen, a nonprofit public art organization, will present its first large scale public art project with a free launch event on Sunday, October 9 that will celebrate artist Barry McGee's installation on the exterior of the Moscone Center Garage. The event will also feature family-friendly participatory programming by local artists.
Through 2018, Sites Unseen will partner with public, private, nonprofit, and community sectors to program seven alleys in downtown San Francisco with public art that responds both to the specific conditions of the sites as well as artistic and cultural values that engage local, national, and international communities.
