Only in San Francisco can you see beautifully restored historic vehicles operating in everyday service alongside modern fleet. But the SFMTA and Market Street Railway take the historic experience one step further for the annual Muni Heritage Weekend.
This year celebrate 75 years of green machines - the environmentally friendly, zero-emissions vehicles that have been part of Muni since its first trolley coaches of 1941. Today's modern fleet continues the tradition with Platinum-level recognition for sustainability by the American Public Transportation Association.
Cost: Free! No RSVP needed, simply show up at San Francisco Railway Museum, which also has free admission.
