Frank Sinatra at 100 Years, a Benefit Celebration

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Cole Porter Society is pleased to present Frank Sinatra at 100, a birthday celebration recreating Sinatra at the Sands performed by Noah Griffin, Founder and Artistic Director of The Cole Porter Society along with the Bay Area's finest vocalists: Amanda King, Patrick Leveque, Deborah Winters, Bobby Vickers and Sofia Perozzi, backed by the 17 piece Starduster Orchestra.

This program is the second annual fundraiser for The Cole Porter Society, a nonprofit under the fiscal sponsorship of MarinLink. Proceeds help preserve, promote and perpetuate the genre of The Great American Songbook through the genius of Cole Porter through school programs.

50% of the ticket price is tax deductible.

From Hoboken to Hollywood is a long journey, especially for a scrawny 9th grade dropout son of Italian immigrants who came to this country armed with nothing but dreams. Talent, immense drive, staying power, and a little help from his friends, Frank Sinatra became the voice of a century.

Recording more than 2,000 songs over his 60-plus year career, you can hear in his voice, the yearning of youth, the wisdom of maturity and the reflection of age.

50 years ago, at the height of his powers, he was recorded live at the Sands. In honor of what would have been his 100th birthday, join us as we recreate that night when he shared the stage with the great Count Basie.
