UC Santa Cruz in Silicon Valley presents "Forensics on TV: What's Real and What's Fake?" featuring Alison Galloway, beloved UC Santa Cruz anthropology faculty member and one of the nation's leading forensic scientists. Galloway was involved in identifying the remains of Lacy Peterson, as well as victims of the Oklahoma City bombing, TWA Flight 800, and suicide bombers in Jerusalem. She will share what is actually done in forensics work, the limitations on what assertions can be made and what is needed to make determinations as a result of an examination.
