Since popping onto the San Francisco music scene in the late'60's, the name Ford has held a much-esteemed stature in the sound and legacy of blues on this end of the continent. Patrick Ford first came onto the San Francisco blues scene with his brother Robben and spent the 70's working with brother Mark in the Charles Ford Band. Then Pat and Robben worked with Charlie Musselwhite, as well as many of the blues greats like Muddy Waters, Lightning Hopkins, and Jimmy Witherspoon at this time.
In the 80's Patrick decided it was time to put together his own band which resulted in the first FBB release and the band's first tour of Europe. FBB has made no apologies for its non traditional approach to the blues and has continued to record and tour throughout the years. Although positions have been filled by several different players, the identity of the band has remained constant, featuring exceptional players performing very original and powerful modern blues.
