¡FLACC! 2015 Festival of Latin American Contemporary Choreographers

¡FLACC! Festival of Latin American Contemporary Choreographers is the only annual festival of its kind on the West Coast!

The 2nd annual ¡FLACC! 2015 features 7 Choreographers in 2 hours of dance each night. They include:

Liz Duran Boubion/ Piñata Dance Collective
CatherineMarie Davalos/ Davalos Dance Company
David Herrera/ David Herrera Performance Company
Zari Le’on/ Zari Le’on Dance Theater
Rogelio Lopez/ Rogelio Lopez and Dancers
Juan Manuel Aldape
Eric Garcia/ Detour Dance

The 7 artists’ subjects encompass a broad spectrum of abstract to dramatized themes of identity, immigration, deportation, gentrification, personal story, sexuality, folkloric/modern fusions, experimental and re-appropriated traditions.
This festival celebrates Latin@ heritage and innovations through multi-media dance performance during Latin American History Month.

In addition we are offering a Low-Cost contemporary dance practice and aesthetics workshop series:
FLACC FRIDAYS in SEPTEMBER
Sept 4, 11, 18, 25 / 2 classes 10-11:30a.m. and 11:30-1pm / Pre-register online 2 classes in a row $16 or per class $10 / Studio B
