Scoble gives you a front-row seat on the future. Especially on platforms that use the fourth user interface, spatial computing, like virtual reality or mixed reality that will come soon thanks to his own front-row seat as entrepreneur in residence at UploadVR.com and his past experience as futurist at Rackspace. +++++++++++ Introduction

As entrepreneur in residence at Upload VR http://www.uploadvr.com/

Scoble travels the world looking for what's happening on the bleeding edge of technology. He's interviewed thousands of executives and technology innovators and reports what he learns in books ("The Age of Context," a book coauthored with Forbes author Shel Israel, has been released at http://amzn.to/AgeOfContext), YouTube, and many social media sites where he's followed by millions of people. As entrepreneur in residence at Upload, he'll be spending 2016 working with the virtual reality ecosystem to figure out what media and conference businesses Upload needs to build next. He'll also be assisting startups in the Upload Collective (a coworking space) in their efforts to get to market. He has been a technology blogger since 2000, was one of five people who built Microsoft's Channel 9 video blog/community, worked at Fast Company Magazine running its TV efforts, and has been part of technology media businesses since 1993.

++++++++ SPEAKER ABSTRACT:

In 2016 I have a new talk titled "Beyond Mobile."

Why "Beyond Mobile?" We are about to get a fourth user interface. The first three were character mode (DOS), GUI's (Mac/Windows), and touch (iOS and Android). The fourth is spatial computing. VR, AR, and mixed reality.

Over the next decade we will look at our smartphone screens less and less as we use things like Magic Leap more and more. Mixed Reality is coming. Virtual Reality will take entertainment minutes away. Even if you use your mobile phone's screen to watch a virtual reality event, it will be quite a different experience than staring down at a mobile phone in your hands.

Plus, you will look at, and interact with your world quite differently thanks to beacons, Internet of Things, new kinds of sensors and artificial intelligence systems to fuse data, analyze it, and present it in new ways.

Think this is science fiction? I'll bring you a number of companies that are bringing futuristic technologies to you today, including in airports, football stadiums, and shopping malls.

We will talk about how cloud is everywhere in this new world and the trends that are soon to be hitting us, whether in self driving cars or augmented reality glasses, and how our businesses need to prepare now.
