Film series: Homage to Piero Todi and Luchino Visconti

During his long career Tosi worked with directors such as Monicelli, Pasolini, Fellini, De Sica, but there is no better way to learn about the work of this extraordinary artist than look at his collaboration with the great Italian director Luchino Visconti.
Director Luchino Visconti’s screen adaption of Thomas Mann’s Death in Venice is a modern classic and a masterpiece of Italian cinema. The decadence of Venice, the elegance of Aschenbach, the androgynous perfection of Tadzio, the overwhelming sensuality that will penetrate Aschenbach’s emotional reserve, the pairing of beauty and death, all is described with a richness that would completely engage the viewer.
