Film Screening: Street of the Sardine

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Monterey History and Art Association and the Museum of Monterey are proud to present a free screening of the film, Street of Sardine, directed by Eva Lothar who will be in attendance to discuss the making of the film. Made in the 1970's, Street of Sardine captures the mood of an abandoned Cannery Row after the sardines and the last canneries disappeared. Scenes from the film have been used on on the CBS' 60 Minutes at a time when the concept of "environmental conservation" was just beginning to reach public awareness.
